"I don't think it's just the dry needling that is helping, but the intuitive and insightful practitioner!"
What interventions do I use?
Manual Therapy
A hands-on technique involving soft issues massage and joint mobilization to reduce muscle spasms, tension, join dysfunction and pain.
Strength Building and Exercise
Motion is Lotion! I prescribe exercise programs that may consist of stretches, muscle release, self-performed joint mobilizations, or corrective exercises to build strength and mobility to support your body.
Joint Mobilization
Passive movements targeted to specific joints that improve range of motion, stiffness, pain, and mobility.
Integrative Dry Needling
A technique utilized by physical therapists that uses a sterile needle to stimulate muscles for a healing response (release trigger points in your muscles, calm nerves to relieve pain, and help with movement dysfunction). The term “dry needling” comes from the fact that no injected liquids are used in this technique and promotes healing and decreased pain from acute and chronic conditions.
Cupping
Suction based cupping improves circulation and gliding between tissues (fascia and muscles) and is used to improve restrictions within tissue or joints.
Injury Recovery
Healing from pain caused by injury, surgery, pregnancy or delivery requires a multi-faceted approach. I combine techniques and training to customize an individualized treatment plan that will work best for you.
